Laugh and the whole world ...... .... ...Honest good humour is the oil and wine of a merry meeting, and there is no jovial companionship equal to that where the jokes are rather small and laughter abundant". - Washington Irving

Our MissionYears ago Sonya Scott (The Company Director) realised that some of her existing home care clients would benefit greatly from a little more companionship and that a Care Centre can deliver essential support, and much needed respite, for those caring for elderly loved ones who may struggle with full time, independent living. Providing a safe, supervised environment and staffed by a dedicated team of trained, experienced and fully vetted staff, the Day Centre offers an affordable alternative to costly residential care.

How We Do It Day Care Centre clientele benefits include:

• An improved level of engagement than in similar centres due to the better than average staff to service user ratio (currently 1: 6)

• Activities specifically designed to stimulate both mind and body

• A structured recreational programme (no TV!)

• A therapeutic exercise programme

• Memory and motivational activities

• Personal hygiene supervision

• Social interaction (small and large groups)

• Health education

• Refreshments throughout the day

• A healthy, nutritious mid-day meal, prepared and cooked on the premises. Our food hygiene rating is 5.

If you have any questions You can "try before you buy" if you wish. Ask for a days trial visit to see if you like the company (and the cooking).
